Embedded Targeting System

I still have the stereo-vision, FPGA-based targeting system that is shown in the latest YouTube videos but they stopped making the FPGA board that I used for them. For the last 6 months or more I've been working on an FPGA-based, thermal targeting system. The benefits are that no calibration is required, no computer is required or used, there is no software lag, and it is immune to darkness or fog.

New Software Version

We have a new version nearing completion that should appeal to an even broader market. It doesn't require calibration, doesn't require the camera to be still, and has almost no settings that need to be adjusted. It can track any target, regardless of shape or color, whether it is moving or not, and can track it while the camera is moving or still. There is still a lot of simple, but time-consuming work to be done. Some new hardware has to be sourced, built, and tested and a new video scenario has to be thought up and filmed.

Heavy Turret featured on National Geographic update

The show is set to air Friday, April 4th at 9pm on National Geographic. The show is called Showdown of the Unbeatables. Our heavy turret product is featured throughout about a third of the show. We didn't have any control over the rules, the competition scenario or who our opponent was and it was all told to us last minute. Regardless, it turned out well and I think it made for entertaining television.

Heavy Turret featured on National Geographic

Just finished filming a new show for the National Geographic Channel that will feature the heavy turret. It should be airing in early 2014. I'll keep everyone posted on the details!
